Getting started

What is Please Send It?

Please Send It requests documents from several people and reminds them for you, by email or text message, until everything has arrived. You list the documents, the people and the deadline; everyone gets a personal link to upload their files, and everything arrives renamed and filed, one folder per person.

The service is published by PAPEL SAS, a French company, and hosted in France.

Who is it for?

Anyone who needs to collect documents from several people: rental applications, school or club registrations, supporting documents from a team, expense reports, signed forms, HR, events.

If you manage your requests on your own, the Free, Single request or Unlimited plans are enough, however many people you need to remind. The Business plan is for several people in the same team working together.

How long does it take to launch a request?

About 3 minutes: you list the documents you need and their format, you add the people (everyone sends the same thing, or each their own), then you set the deadline and how often to remind them.

You can also start from a template in the marketplace: the list of documents is already done.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Everything happens online, at pleasesendit.com. You create your account with your email address and a password, or with your Google or Apple account, without a password. The Free plan needs no credit card.

Your recipients have no app to install either: they open their link and can snap their document with their phone.

Do my recipients need to create an account?

No. Everyone gets a personal link by email or text message and uploads their documents without an account. This link is private: it must not be shared.

A recipient who wishes to can create an account: they then find their uploads again and can change them until the deadline.

Reminders

When and how often are reminders sent?

You choose a reminder every 2, 3 or 7 days, and a maximum number of reminders per person, up to 20. You can add a stronger reminder, the day before and on the day of the deadline.

Invitations and reminders go out between 9 am and 7 pm (Paris time), never on Sundays or public holidays. A request launched outside these hours goes out at the next window. You can also remind someone by hand, or pause the request: links stay open, but nobody is reminded.

Are reminders sent by email or by text message?

On the Free plan, by email only. Each paid plan comes in three versions: "Email only", "SMS only" or "Email + SMS". With "Email + SMS", a person who has not responded to two messages is also reminded through the other channel.

You see whether each message arrived and whether it was opened. If an address or a number is invalid, you are notified by email so you can correct it.

What happens once a person has sent everything?

Their reminders stop right away, and they receive an email confirming that everything arrived. When everything has arrived, you are notified.

Can a person stop the reminders?

Yes. Every email contains a "Stop reminders for this request" link, and the upload page offers "Stop reminders". You are notified.

Can a person say they cannot provide a document?

Yes. On their upload page, they choose "I cannot provide this document" and explain why. That document is no longer reminded, and you receive an email with their reason.

As long as the deadline has not passed, they can change their mind and send the document.

Documents

Which document formats can I request?

For each document, you choose the expected format: document or photo (PDF, JPG, PNG, HEIC, WebP), PDF only, image, Word, Excel, video, web link, written answer, or any format. You can add instructions, a blank template to fill in or an example.

Every file received is checked: a file that does not match the requested format is rejected.

What is the maximum file size? Can several files be sent for one document?

On the Free plan, 10 MB per file. On paid plans, 100 MB per file, and up to 2 GB for a document in video format.

A person can send up to ten files for the same document, for instance three payslips: they add up.

How are files filed and downloaded?

Each file is renamed when it arrives and filed in one folder per person, as "Recipient - Document". You download a single file, or the whole project as a ZIP that keeps this structure.

Can I get a document signed?

Yes, on paid plans. You attach the PDF to sign, and the person signs online. Signing goes through Documenso, a software installed on our own servers: your documents do not go to a third-party company. The signed document is sealed, timestamped and comes with a completion certificate.

It is a simple electronic signature under the European eIDAS regulation, suited to everyday contracts, authorizations and certificates, but not to certain deeds, for instance a guarantee given by a private individual. You can also ask for a handwritten signature: the person prints, signs and sends the document back.

Are there request templates?

Yes. The marketplace offers hundreds of ready-made requests: school, clubs, HR, renting, events, filming. Before sending, you can add, remove or rename a document, and change its format or its instructions.

Premium templates include a document ready to sign: they are included in Unlimited and Business, or cost €2.90 once on the Free plan.

Can I request a document again every month?

Yes, on the Unlimited and Business plans. The "Request this again" setting repeats the request every month, quarter, half-year or year: a new edition, with the same documents, the same people and new links, goes out on its own on the planned date, and you are notified by email. You can stop the series whenever you like.

Can I receive documents in Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive?

Yes, on the Unlimited and Business plans. You connect your own Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive, and every document received is copied there automatically, filed by project and by person. Please Send It only sees the files it puts there, and you can disconnect it whenever you like, in "My account".

The copies made on your side belong to you: Please Send It does not delete them, not even those of sensitive documents.

Security and data

Where are files hosted? Are they encrypted and backed up?

In France. The service, its database and every file received are hosted on a server located in France, at Hostinger. Emails and text messages are sent through Brevo, a French company.

Connections are encrypted everywhere, and every file received is encrypted on the server as soon as it arrives, with AES-256-GCM and a key of its own. Those keys are protected by a master key kept outside the data and the backups: a file copied without it cannot be read.

An encrypted copy of the database and files is made every hour in a second location in France. A file deleted from the service is also removed from the backups within 30 days.

What happens to sensitive documents?

ID card, passport, residence permit, bank details, payslips, tax notices, health insurance card and criminal record are recognised automatically from their name. They are flagged to both the requester and the recipient, and deleted 30 days after they arrive. You are warned 3 days before, to download whatever must be kept. The document still counts as received: nobody is reminded for nothing.

This is automatic and included on every plan, Free included.

How long are documents kept?

90 days after the request deadline, or the period you choose, from 30 days to one year. You are notified by email 7 days before, and upload links stop working on the same date. You can also delete files earlier, and delete your account at any time, along with all your projects and every file received.

Who sees the documents sent?

Only you, and in an organization, the colleagues you share the project with. Other recipients of the same project see neither the files nor the contact details of the others. The PAPEL team only accesses them for a requested technical operation or a legal obligation.

No ads, no ad trackers, no data resale.

Is the service GDPR compliant? Is there a data processing agreement?

Yes. When you use the service for a business, an association or a professional activity, you are the data controller and PAPEL acts as processor. The data processing agreement (Article 28 GDPR) is part of the Terms of Use: it is accepted at sign-up, with nothing separate to sign.

What is kept, why, for how long and with which providers: everything is on the Your data page.

Pricing and payment

How much does Please Send It cost? Can I pay yearly?
  • Free: €0, one request at a time, 5 people per request, email reminders.
  • Single request: €4.90 once in Email only, €5.90 with text messages (up to 20 text messages for the request).
  • Unlimited: €9.90 per month in Email only, €12 per month with text messages (30 per month). All your requests, electronic signature, API, recurring documents, copy to Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive.
  • Business: €44 per month in Email only, €49 per month with text messages (100 per month), for 5 users, with shared projects, reporting and a single invoice. Beyond that, €9 per month per user from the 6th to the 20th, €7 from the 21st to the 50th, €5 beyond.

Extra text messages: €3 per 25. Prices include VAT. The people you request documents from are never charged.

Yearly, for Unlimited and Business: ten months paid for twelve, so two months free, in a single payment; included text messages are still counted each month.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes, free of charge, from "My subscription": "Cancel my subscription", then "Confirm cancellation". You keep your plan until the end of the paid period, nothing more is charged, then your account goes back to the Free plan.

If you are a consumer, you also have fourteen days after purchase to withdraw.

How do I get an invoice? Is VAT included?

Payment is made by bank card, on a secure Stripe page. Every payment comes with an invoice, available in "My subscription", "Manage my subscription" button. Prices include 20% VAT.

On the Business plan, the invoice is made out to the company, with its address and VAT number, entered at payment and editable at any time.

API and AI agents

What is the API for?

To make Please Send It work with your other tools, without going through the website. Your business software, CRM, ERP or an automation platform such as n8n, Make or Zapier can, for instance, create and launch a request as soon as a new client or case is recorded, track who sent what, remind someone, then fetch the files received (one by one or as a ZIP) to archive them in your own system.

The API is included in the paid plans, not in the Free plan. You create a key in "My subscription", "Agent access" section, and any tool that can send a web request in JSON can use it. The API documentation lists every route, with examples.

Can I control Please Send It from Claude, ChatGPT or an AI agent?

Yes, through our MCP server, at https://pleasesendit.com/mcp, with your API key. Add it as a remote MCP connector in Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP-compatible assistant: it can then list your projects, create them, launch them, remind someone, pause a request, set its recurrence and list the documents received.

Any action taken with your key is taken on your behalf. Keep it secret, and revoke it at any time if needed.

Affiliate program and team

Is there an affiliate program?

Yes, open to every account holder. You earn 20% of the amount excluding VAT paid by the customers you bring, for 12 months, and they get 20% off their first payment. A commission is validated 30 days after the customer's payment, and validated commissions are paid every month: as Please Send It credit, by bank transfer or against an invoice. Everything is on the Affiliate program page.

Can several people use the service?

Yes, with the Business plan: 5 users included, then a tiered price per extra user. You invite your colleagues from "My organization", with their email address; each receives a link valid for 14 days. Everyone creates their own requests and can share them with the team, and the company receives a single invoice.

Users are the team members who create and follow requests. The people you request documents from are not users.

What can an administrator do?

There are three nested roles. The owner manages the subscription and invoices, renames the organization and changes everyone's role. The administrator invites and removes colleagues, sees all the team's projects and the monthly reporting per person, and can take over the follow-up of an absent colleague's project. The member creates their projects and can share them with the team.

When someone leaves, their seat is freed right away and their projects stay with the team, without losing any document received. More on the Administrator page.
