Terms of Use
Effective September 30, 2026.
1. The service
Please Send It, available at pleasesendit.com, lets a person (the "requester") ask other people (the "recipients") for documents, remind them automatically by email or text message, and receive the files sorted by person. The service is published by PAPEL SAS, a company with share capital of €100, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 843 729 864, registered office 58 rue de Monceau, 75008 Paris, EU VAT number FR18843729864, chaired by Vincent Bernard, reachable at support@pleasesendit.com.
Creating an account requires accepting these terms and the data policy, by checking the box provided at sign-up; the accepted version and its date are recorded. The service is reserved for adults. A recipient who uploads documents without an account is bound by articles 4, 5 and 13.
2. The account
- An account is required to create requests. It requires a valid email address and a password of at least 8 characters.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything done from your account.
- Your account information must be accurate: your first and last name sign the messages sent to your recipients.
3. The requester's commitments
- Only request documents they have a legitimate reason to obtain, and only from people who expect the request or can reasonably expect it.
- Enter recipient contact details that were obtained lawfully. When acting for a company, an association or any professional activity, the requester is the controller of their recipients' data within the meaning of the GDPR, and PAPEL acts as processor, under the terms of the data processing agreement (Article 28 of the GDPR), which forms part of these Terms: it is accepted with them and applies as soon as the service is used in a professional capacity. When acting for strictly personal purposes, PAPEL applies to this data the retention, security and deletion rules described on the Your data page. For accounts and billing, PAPEL is the controller.
- Only request the documents they are entitled to require. For example, for a rental, the list of documents that may be requested from a prospective tenant and their guarantor is set by Decree No. 2015-1437 of November 5, 2015.
- Not request health data collected in the course of prevention, diagnosis or care (medical records, medical reports, prescriptions), the hosting of which requires a certification that Please Send It does not hold.
- For sensitive documents (ID, bank details, pay slip), only request what is necessary and choose a short retention period.
- Not use the service for marketing, harassment, phishing, or to obtain information through deception.
- Delete the documents received as soon as they are no longer needed.
4. Recipients
- A recipient uploads their documents from their personal link, without an account. This link is private: it must not be shared.
- A document can receive several files (ten at most): they add up. Without an account, a file that has been sent can no longer be viewed or removed. With an account, the recipient can find their uploads again and remove them until the deadline.
- Each message states that it is sent by Please Send It, a PAPEL service, on behalf of the requester, and includes a link to stop receiving reminders for this request. The requester is then notified.
- Only the requester sees the documents sent. A recipient can ask the requester, or support@pleasesendit.com, to delete their files.
5. Prohibited content
It is forbidden to upload or circulate through the service malicious files, unlawful content, or documents one has no right to dispose of. Files whose content does not match the requested format are rejected.
6. Availability and retention
PAPEL uses reasonable means to keep the service running continuously and to keep files until their deletion date. Maintenance interruptions may occur, announced when possible.
Files received are deleted automatically 90 days after the request's deadline, unless the requester chooses another period, from 30 days to one year; upload links stop working on the same date. The requester is notified by email 7 days before: it is up to them to download before that date whatever they need to keep.
Sensitive documents, recognised from their name (ID card, passport, residence permit, bank details, payslips, tax notices, health insurance card, criminal record), are deleted sooner: 30 days after they are received, with the requester warned 3 days before. Files received are encrypted at rest and backed up every hour; backups are erased within 30 days after a file is deleted.
7. Liability
The requester is responsible for their requests, for the lawfulness of the documents requested and for the use of the documents received.
If you are a consumer, you benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for digital services provided by the French Consumer Code, and nothing in these terms limits your right to compensation if PAPEL fails to meet its obligations.
If you act in a professional capacity, PAPEL's liability is limited to direct and foreseeable damages, up to the amounts paid for the service during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim; PAPEL is not liable for indirect losses (loss of revenue, opportunity or customers), nor for a document the recipient did not send.
8. Suspension and deletion
You can delete your account at any time from "My account": your requests and all files received are then erased. An account that does not comply with these terms may be suspended or deleted. A suspension is justified in writing, except in an emergency related to security or a legal obligation.
9. Personal data
What is kept, why, for how long, and who is responsible for what is described on the Your data page. No trackers, no ads, no resale.
10. Changes and governing law
These terms may change. Any substantial change is announced to you by email at least 30 days in advance; if you refuse it, you can delete your account or cancel your subscription before it takes effect. These terms are governed by French law; a consumer keeps the protection of the mandatory rules of their country of residence.
11. API and agent access
You can create API keys to control your account programmatically or through an artificial intelligence agent. Any action performed with one of your keys (creation, launch, reminder, download) is deemed to be performed by you and binds you as if you had performed it in the interface. Keep your keys secret and revoke any exposed key without delay; PAPEL may revoke a key used abnormally. Sending limits (business hours, text messages per day) also apply to actions performed through the API.
12. Electronic signature
The signature offered is a simple electronic signature within the meaning of Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 (eIDAS): the document is sealed, time-stamped and accompanied by a certificate of completion that records each step. It does not benefit from the presumption of reliability reserved for qualified signatures. It must not be used for deeds that the law excludes from the electronic private-signature form (Article 1175 of the French Civil Code), in particular a guarantee given by an individual.
13. Reporting
Anyone can report unlawful content or use to support@pleasesendit.com, stating the link concerned and the reason for the report. Authorities can reach us at the same address. PAPEL reviews every report; any account suspension or content removal is justified and can be challenged by replying to the message announcing it.
14. Affiliate program
Any account holder can join the Please Send It affiliate program, from the Affiliate program page or "My subscription", and earn a commission on payments from the customers they bring in. The program is governed by the affiliate agreement, accepted online, which supplements these terms. A customer brought in by an affiliate gets a discount on their first payment; promo codes cannot be combined.
