What matters for you
- A list that sticks to French law: the ready-made request follows the document categories of decree no. 2015-1437, with nothing the law forbids landlords to ask for. The details, with official sources, are in our article on rental application documents.

Frequently asked questions
Which documents can a landlord ask a tenant applicant for in France?
Only those on the list set by decree no. 2015-1437 of 5 November 2015: one proof of identity, one proof of address, and one or more proofs of occupation and income. The law forbids asking for anything else, such as a carte Vitale or bank statements. The details and official sources are in our article.
Can I ask for the guarantor's documents at the same time?
Yes. Add the guarantor as one more person, with their own list: not everyone has to send the same thing. You see at a glance who sent what.
Does the applicant need to create an account?
No. They get a personal link by email or text message and upload their documents from their phone, as a photo or a PDF, with no account and no app.
What happens to ID documents and payslips?
They are recognised as sensitive, encrypted as soon as they reach our servers in France, then deleted 30 days after they arrive. You are warned 3 days before, so you can download what you must keep. This is included in every plan, Free included.
Can I ask for the home insurance certificate again every year?
Yes, with the Unlimited and Business plans: the "Annual home insurance certificate" ready-made request can be set to go out again every year, with new links, without you having to think about it.
